TOWARDS SOCIETY RENEWAL

GOALS OF THE MOVEMENT
  • To awaken and guide people especially Christ's faithful to dedicate themselves to gospel values.
  • To uphold the renewal of the second vatican council and to spread the renewal through conscientization all over India.
  • To co-ordinate the lay movements and facilitate the society and the Church to become a mass movement.
  • To struggle for an egalitarian society so that all may have all and thus experience the Reign of God in this world.
OBJECTIVES OF CRMI
  • To foster the new world vision both in the society and in the Church based on Gospel values.
  • To bring in the renewal in a healthy way according to the official teachings of the Church at all levels.
  • To ensure the co-operation of the Church leaders, both the laity and the clergy, for the renewal.
  • To inculturate the local church at all levels based on the mystery of incarnation.
  • To create a just and egalitarian society, fostering unity among, christians & people of various faiths through dialogue and services.
  • To foster the lay leadership at all levels, especially among women.
  • To co-operate with the Catholic Union of India and the Ashram Aikya towards a total renewal.
  • To approach with love and understanding the forces that counter the renewal.
  • To live a simple life as renewal demands.

SPIRITUALITY OF CRMI
  • Holy spirit is the foundation for this movement; total liberation is the ultimate goal.
  • Power, money, position, rules and influence have no say in this movement.
  • The movement is conscious of God's presence and action in all the realities of human life.
  • The movement overcomes selfishness by selflessness and wants to be humble and hidden, but powerful and forthcoming.
  • To transcend the barriers of caste, color, creed and language, because the spirit is the root and at the same time to be with all to forge ahead.
  • To discern the Spirit individually and collectively and to function as a team.
FORMATION OF CRMI

Swami Amaloranda (1932 - 1990) is the founder and the patron of this movement. He continues to be the source of inspiration always.
  • The Movement is beyond boundaries and at the same time local.
  • The Movement recognizes the structure and the spirit. It will always be guided by the spirit.
  • As the spirit is the basis for the CRMI, it transcends all structures.
  • The Spirit calls and forms from the grassroots levels people of various persuasions and calls for a total renewal towards a new society (Reign of God).
  • CRMI, is not bound by time, but goes beyond all.
  • CRMI functions as a team rather than individually.
MOVEMENT'S YATRA
  • CRMI was founded on 18.01.1982 in the NBCLC, Bangalore (India)
  • In the begining it had its inception in Kerala, Karnataka, Pondy and Tramilnadu. Now its is getting rooted in Tamilnadu.
  • CRMI has its office in Tamilnadu near Trichy at Alundur.
  • Tamilnadu-pondicherry CRMI unit wants to take the initiative to spread this, movement in South India, Asia and all over the World.
